CHIROPRACTOR
Dr. Daren Bowlby’s Personal Story: “I was working for the Department of Navy in Bremerton WA, as a Nuclear engineer, when at age 23 I started developing back pain with numbness down my right leg. Not knowing what was causing this pain, I went to my MD who prescribed pain pills and anti-inflammatory pills.
They took the edge off but the problem returned. I then went to physical therapy for a while with not much improvement. Finally, my co-worker talked me into seeing a chiropractor. I went to the chiropractor and not only did the pain go away quickly but the numbness went down. Also, I struggled with intestinal pain prior to my back pain and I noticed within a very short time my gut was feeling so much better.
As a mechanical engineer, this intrigued me. I wanted to know how my body worked, so I started asking questions and reviewing anatomy books. Because of my success with chiropractic and talking to other people who had amazing results through chiropractic I decided I wanted to become a chiropractor. So I quit my job as an engineer and enrolled at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport Iowa. I graduated in 1997 and opened my practice in Longview, WA. February 1998 and have been here ever since!”
